I will soon be running through Ontario’s stunning vineyards, and taking in the bright sun in the early summer sky.
First of its kind in Canada, this unique run winds through Twenty Valley wine country showcasing Ontario’s stunning vineyards and premier wineries. The run finishes in downtown Jordan where all runners and supporters are invited to celebrate at the Finish Area Street Party.
Me and my girlfriends are kicking off our Marathon du Medoc training with this wonderful run. It is the inaugural event and is quasi mirrored after the Marathon du Medoc. I will, hopefully, have the opportunity to taste some great wines en route and maybe even get a couple of interviews along the way…Maybe we can find out whether any winemakers are up for the challenge of running through the vineyards.
Situated in Niagara’s lush Greenbelt, just an hour’s drive from Toronto or Buffalo, Twenty Valley is home to many of Ontario’s and Canada’s premiere wineries and the perfect destination for this year’s leisure & casual run. All participating wineries crafting fine VQA wines will be offering personalized tours & tastings on Saturday June 13th at the wineries and at the runner’s expo.
Is anyone interested in meeting us down there for the run???
