Anniversary Dinner

A huge fan of mouth watering steak, I just picked up a couple of AAA New York Strips for the BBQ this evening. I have decided to pair these fabulous steaks with Emeril’s 3 Potato Gratin, sauteed mushrooms, and steamed beets with goat’s cheese and walnuts. Since there is a mother load of cream in these dishes, I’m opting to contrast with the wine to cut through and cleanse the palate after every bite. Cline Zinfandel for $14.95 was my choice; it stood up to the myriad of flavours and even further brought out the flavours of the beets and the fruit in the glass was enhanced because of the creaminess of the Gratin and the goat’s cheese. Both a win win.
