Creekside Estate Winery recently showcased a few of their signature wines at a tasting that I was fortunate enough to attend. One gem shined through the rest, and it was, surprisingly, my last taste of the evening. Creekside’s Late Harvest Pinot Gris brings a cross between freshly preserved peaches and lemon verbena in my mind. It is refreshing and has a lot of character. because it is so unique. I had the pleasure of pairing it with a fleshy, ripe strawberry, dipped in coconut and white chocolate. The fruit in both the strawberry and the wine exploded in my mouth followed by a rich cream mouth feel when the white chocolate and coconut enveloped it…Breathtaking.
