Black Walnut Manor in conjunction with Flat Rock Cellars, Featherstone Estate Winery, Henry of Pelham and Vineland Estates presents The Player Series. The Player Series is an intimate glimpse behind the cellar doors of several of the area’s key industry leaders.
Carole & Michael Gurgol of Black Walnut Manor host this annual event each spring at Black Walnut Manor in Vineland. The chic, new era B&B boasts four lovely suites each equipped with private en suites, luxurious linens and a focus on regional cuisine each morning with their gourmet breakfasts.
The series of weekends focuses on the wines, food and spirit of Niagara’s Twenty Valley, think of it as a spa for the culinary & viticulture soul. Limited to only eight guests, this is truly an intimate wine & culinary experience. Each weekend features a winemaker’s dinner, hosted by one of the Gurgol’s winery partners. The guest host or ‘Player” will hand pick the evenings wines from his/her own cellar. The four course winemaker’s dinner will feature the cuisine of Rob Berry of The Blue Turtle, and is designed around regional specialties. The weekend continues with a deluxe winery tour of the host winery’s facility, and a second fantastic dinner at one of their partner restaurants, Vineland Estates, Cave Spring Cellars or Treadwell’s Farm to Table.
This truly memorable wine & culinary weekend package includes; 2 nights deluxe accommodation at chic Black Walnut Manor, an intimate 4-course dinner with the Player of choice, a VIP tour and tasting at the Player’s winery, and on the second evening, dinner at one of three distinctive Twenty Valley winery restaurants.
