There are a plethora of wine events and festivals throughout California that I could recite, but I am not an event listing service for California. I have, however, come across two that have peaked my interest. Robert Mondavi’s Taste 3 is a conference and networking event that marries wine, food and art. You will hear from some of the most extraordinary chefs and winemakers to the world’s most amazing thinkers, including blog gurus and researchers to artisans who express their thoughts through their medium. While knowledge is a beautiful thing, so are great wines and this event will ensure you have your fill. There are evening events that include winemaker dinners and a final celebration at Robert Mondavi winery.
California Wine Festival is also a great festival that needs a Spring and Summer festival to accommodate the demand. If you are coming in April or in July, the two events are filled with fantastic wineries throughout the state of California. Events, like these, give you an opportunity to figure out the myriad of wine departments and start understanding the differences between them, instead of lumping them all under the California wine label.
