No Sulphites Allowed

I recently read an article about organic wines being sulphite free, which, really, is a half truth. No sulphites are added, but sulphites are naturally occuring in wine. Further, adding sulphites is not necessarily a bad thing; they, actually, stabilize a wine, ensuring the wine is drinkable when you purchase it. Organic wines, although they have a lot of merit and in some cases taste extraordinary, they are not always up to the standards of their non-organic counterparts. All I am saying is, don’t shy away from wines that say added sulphites; there is a reason why they add them. Those are my two cents on sulphites.
