A hot ticket in Toronto, the 9th annual Sante was phenomenal. The Wine Festival added a number of unique events, to make this year’s festival an unforgettable experience. A celebration of fine wine and international cuisine, Sante took place May 8 - 12, 2007 in the Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood and at the Carlu.

Sante, originally modeled after the successful Vancouver Playhouse Wine Festival, is a true wine festival in that it showcases international wineries and vintages.

Sante uses different venue locations, including shops and restaurants, to promote Toronto as a travel destination and provide a unique wine tasting experience, for all attendees and participating wineries.

Shareaglass attended the trade tasting and was able to speak with a variety of winemakers and agencies from around the world, discussing their wines, some food pairings and a sprinkle of education to learn a little bit more about where the wines come from.
